Welcome. I have over 25 years of experience as a therapist and have worked mostly in private practice and university settings. I believe therapy can be of great of great benefit when you are struggling! Finding a therapist you trust and feel comfortable with isn’t always easy. You want someone with the right qualifications, but also someone who is the right fit for you.

Whether this is your first time considering therapy or you’ve been in therapy before, I hope you find the information here helpful. Take a look around and I hope I can be of assistance!

In my practice, I offer an empathic and accepting relationship that helps you meet yourself where you are and start a journey of meaningful change.  My therapy approach is person-centered, relationship based while also incorporating Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy skills.  Together we look to understand how your emotions, self-talk/core beliefs and behaviors all interact, and look for your key to opening up to change.

I have experience working with social phobia, panic attacks, depression, grief, and trauma. I specialize in helping clients clarify who they are and what they need to create a life of meaning and purpose.  If you are are struggling with feeling stuck, exhausted, and unmotivated, or are paralyzed at times by overthinking, I can help.  As your therapist, I can offer you a supportive place to better understand yourself and what you need to thrive.

In hope and kindness,

Kristen Kinsfogel, PhD
